Expansive in both size and capability, the 400 series offers an exceptional range of ovens, combi-steam ovens, combi-microwaves, warming and vacuum drawers in 60 cm and 76 cm widths. A 60 cm fully automatic espresso machine completes your options and provides you with baking and coffee possibilities on a truly grand scale.

The ovens 400 series

Driven by the principles within the professional kitchen and inspired by the needs and experiences of the chef, every Gaggenau oven is designed for the private home. A heated catalyser filters the grease and odours from the air, four layers of glass keep the door cool even during the 485 ºC pyrolytic cleaning programme and are specially treated to ensure colours are not distorted. The rotisseries spit can be utilised in most of the 17 heating methods at your disposal and our unique enamel offers excellent heat reflection, longevity and ease of cleaning.

A total of 220 litres of heating space, almost one and a half metres high and 76 cm wide: this is immense. However, it is not just impressive to look at: the full range of 17 heating methods are on offer and the multiple core temperature probe measures the temperature inside your dish to within one degree of accuracy.

Two decades after introducing steam into the private kitchen, we offer an enlarged cavity with which to master this culinary style. Five humidity levels and up to 230 ºC alongside a full surface grill behind glass encourages you to not only perfect your steaming, but also braising, baking, browning, grilling, gratinating, sous-viding and even juice extracting.

As your masterpiece is being created, ensure it is beautifully illuminated. Discreet LEDs stage your dish in soft white light, without glare thanks to a non-reflective rear wall. Appearances matter, so the full surface grill is hidden, out of sight behind glass.

Consequence-free cooking

Bake, steam and sous-vide without fear of losing that new oven look. Your combi-steam oven only requires you to insert its cartridge and set it to clean, thanks to the sophisticated automated cleaning system. This will return the oven to its pristine condition.

The combi-microwave oven 400 series

Microwave, convection, grill or any combination of all three makes this more than a time-saver. Having said that, you can roast dishes in a third of the time and as the name suggests, the Quick heat function achieves cooking temperatures faster.

So much more than a microwave

Up to 50 of your favourite recipes can be saved and you can create a cooking sequence of different heating methods and times. For instance, defrost using the microwave, cook with a mix of microwave and convection (to better retain the ingredients’ moisture) and finally brown using the grill.
